The college has instituted “Student Aid Committee” as an integral committee for fulfilling the dual objective of “equitable access to education” and “promotion and nurture of meritorious talent”. This ensures that the students thrive and build a strong community on campus.
The objective of the Financial Aid Policy at SGGSCC is aimed at Inclusive Education. Efforts are taken by offering financial help so that no student is deprived of education at the institute. With the support of the governing body and management, every year the institution has been supporting students by wavering or allowing concessions in fee amounts. The committee follows a two-step process to decide the number of awardees and quantum of aid.
A large number of scholarships are awarded by the college to the deserving, meritorious students, economically backward students and students with disability every year. These scholarships are instituted by the governing body, educational trusts, existing and former faculty members, and college alumni. Students who meet the specified criteria are awarded scholarships at the Annual Day Prize Distribution Function. Additionally, academic toppers are also rewarded with a cash prize for continued motivation, encouragement and token of appreciation by the institute.
